Nanya Technology Donates 50,000 COVID-19 At-Home Tests to New Taipei City Government

May 11th, 2022 – Nanya Technology Corporation, (“Nanya”), today announced the donation of 50,000 at-home COVID-19 rapid antigen tests to the New Taipei City Government as the important anti-epidemic materials, including the use of home care boxes. Nanya also received a Certificate of Appreciation from New Taipei City Government.

“The New Taipei City government provides home care kits for confirmed patients, about 44,000 boxes have been delivered from April 10th to May 10 th. Taiwan surpasses 40,000 daily local COVID-19 cases; within those confirmed cases over 90% patients chose stayhome quarantine. The New Taipei City Government has prepared sufficient home care kits and anti-epidemic materials for individuals under quarantine. We appreciate the generous people and corporates for supporting the pandemic prevention. Nanya Technology has supported the government’s pandemic prevention policy many times, this time Nanya additionally donated 50,000 at-home tests for the use of home care boxes. We believe that we will overcome the pandemic through the public-private joint efforts together”, said New Taipei City Mayor, Hou, Yu-Ih.

“As the local COVID-19 infections continue to rise, it is important for all parties to fight against the spread of coronavirus together. Nanya has launched several pandemic prevention and support projects since COVID-19 outbreak:

1. Donated 3,200 COVID rapid test kits and 2,000 prevention kits with antibacterial spray and face shield to the New Taipei City Government in June, 2021.

2. Cooperating with Chang Gung Memorial Hospital medical crews, the company has set up a rapid COVID screening station within company premise in June, 2021. Total 5,552 employees and partners have been tested.

3. Responded to the New Taipei City Government’s rural education project, the company has donated to 26 schools and a total of 2,000 students for the purchase of live streaming equipment for online courses during the pandemic in August, 2021.

4. Donated 50,000 at-home COVID rapid test kits to the New Taipei City Government in May, 2022, to enhance the COVID resilience and contribute to our efforts to the epidemic prevention for Taiwan”, said Nanya Technology President, Pei-Ing Lee.
