Taipei, December 31, 2024 – Nanya Technology Corporation ("NTC") has achieved a significant milestone in sustainability, earning its first MSCI ESG AA rating. The Company has also been included in the DJSI World Index for the fourth consecutive year and received the Prime status by the ISS ESG Rating for the fifth consecutive years. These achievements highlight the company's strong commitment to sustainable development and corporate responsibility.
MSCI ESG Rating Upgraded to 'AA'
The MSCI ESG ratings assess the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of over 8,900 publicly traded companies globally, with ratings ranging from leader (AAA, AA), average (A, BBB, BB) to laggard (B, CCC). In 2024, NTC's MSCI ESG rating advanced from BB to AA, placing it in the top 26% of industry leaders in the semiconductors and semiconductor equipment sector. In the MSCI's report, this upgrade reflects the company's outstanding progress in key areas such as water resource management, human capital development, and controversial sourcing.
Inclusion in DJSI World Index for Fourth Consecutive Year
In the 2024 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), NTC earned full scores in ten of 26 evaluation categories. These include Transparency & Reporting, Materiality, Business Ethics, Policy Influence, Product Quality & Recall Management, Environmental Policy & Management, Product Stewardship, Customer Relations, Privacy Protection, and Talent Planning and Analytics.
With a focus on six key sustainability areas – Innovation, Integrity & Transparency, Talents, Green, Responsible Procurement and Social Participation – NTC will continue taking proactive actions to optimize its sustainable impact. Moving forwards, NTC will further strengthen its ESG initiatives in collaboration with value chain partners to collectively drive progress toward a sustainable future.
