The concept of “Fair Trade” is to use a series of rules to ensure that producers get fair remuneration, workers get their due rights, and the environment is protected, so as to achieve a trade model that focuses on sustainable development and fairness.
Nanya Technology’s pantries have become places where fair trade coffee have been implemented since 2018, and up to 50,000 people have enjoyed coffee so far. In 2022, we built a fair trade demonstration pantry, looking forward to extending the concept of fair trade to our guests and visitors through the space, and changing the world by changing consumption. This fair trade pantry project has been recognized as the best practice by the Fairtrade Taiwan.
A series of fair trade activities were held in order to deepen employee’s understanding of fair trade concept and Nanya’s ESG mission. On October 20, we invited Fairtrade Taiwan and Okogreen to the company to share the ideas of fair trade and SDGs, and how Nanya Technology implemented the ideas with its ESG goals. A fair trade market was held on October 21, we invited fair trade merchants and local farmers to the company to promote products and fair trade initiatives, so that employees can better understand the concept of fair trade while spending happily.
Nanya Technology will continue to respond to fair trade, and work together with global partners to make contribution to the environment and society, and fulfill corporate social responsibilities.
