","en":"Nanya Technology (\"Nanya\") released its Sustainability Report 2023 today to disclose its performance of corporate sustainability, which took innovation, green manufacturing and talent engagement as the main areas of focus. Innovation serves as the core element for Nanya's sustainability while driving corporate growth. The Company has successfully developed the second generation 10nm-class (1B) process technology and set for 8Gb DDR4 and 16Gb DDR5 products shipment in the second half of 2024.
Regarding green manufacturing, Nanya's energy-saving products accounted for 90% of its shipment, helping its customers save more than 514.15 million kWh of electricity in the year. In addition, the Company implemented 36 conservation projects to save more than 5,337 MWh of electricity in 2023. To optimize the use of renewable energy, approximately 24,490 MWh of solar power was used in 2023.
Nanya adopted the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) standards since 2023 and obtained AWS Platinum Certification in 2024. In accordance with the AWS requirement, The Company enhanced the water resources management from aspects including water governance and sustainable water balance. Based on the environmental management and operational risk management framework, the company regularly reviews risks, promotes improvement measures, and contingencies on a quarterly basis. In 2023, Nanya implemented 6 water-saving plans that reduced water consumption per product by 32%, and assisted 9 suppliers to unroll water conservation projects.
Nanya is committed to promote the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) in the workplace. The Company has launched internal seminars and workshops to raise DE&I awareness of our employees. We also organize events with educational institutions to encourage a culture of diversity and equality for the pipeline of next generation. To build a responsible supply chain, the Company investigated and audited suppliers on human rights risks and conflict minerals usage to ensure compliance with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) requirements. The Company is awarded the platinum certification from RBA VAP.
