Nanya Rolls Out 800MHz RDIMM to Support Incredibly Reliable Systems Powered by the Enhanced Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ Processor Based on 45nm Process Technology

Taoyuan, Taiwan, Nov. 17th, 2008 - Nanya Technology Corporation(TAIEX: 2408), one of the worldwide leading DRAM manufacturers, today announced it is shipping 800MHz DDR2 registered dual in-line memory module (RDIMM) designed specifically for the new Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processor, to help optimize performance of high-end server systems and workstation applications.

Nanya’s DDR2 800 RDIMM will power new Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor-based platforms. NT4GT72U4ND0BV and NT2GT72U4PD0BV are available now in production quantities. The modules are registered 240-Pin Double Data Rate 2 (DDR2) Synchronous DRAM Dual In-Line Memory Module (DIMM), organized as a 2 ranks 512MX72 high-speed memory array and a 1 rank 256Mx72 high-speed memory array. Nanya DDR2 RDIMMs are manufactured using raw cards developed for broad industry use as reference designs. The use of these common design files minimizes electrical variation between suppliers. All Nanya DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs deliver high performance, and it will always give high-end users the ultimate experience.
